Humans have an amazing capacity to evolve and change. In this video I begin to explore how you can change your life using your imagination and mindset.
We recognise the capacity we all have as human beings to bring new realities into our experience using imagination. In truth, all our experience is created through thought. So in many ways a new reality is only a fresh thought away.
Which area of your life would like to change first? Following this question we will be exploring fascinating quotes from Albert Einstein, Mark Twain and Lawrence of Arabia. It is a quick and powerful tour on how you can change your life using your imagination.
Summary
Choose a context in which you would like a difference in your performance, experience and results. It could be business, finance, health, fitness, relationships, or your emotions and thinking- any context in which you want to create a difference.
In this video learn 2 different uses for our imagination. One can create entire new desired realities, the other can make our present reality a living hell.
3 different quote about imagination from masters throughout history.
Develop resourceful states of mind and take action from them, to change your results, and bring your desired futures into your present reality.
I invite you to consider the question: is there some context in your life in which you would like to experience some difference in your performance and results?
For example, would you like to have a different result or a different experience in your business? You know, do you want some change in your company or how you make money, or do you want to change your finances?
Or is there a change in some relationship that you would like? Would you like to experience it differently and get different kinds of responses from people?
Or are there certain emotional changes you might want to make? You might sometimes experience states of worry, depression, or anxiety and you kind of think, “I would love it if I could create a life that was different than that”.
So just to consider: is there some difference you want in some context? Now you can, as you consider that, you can just have that running in the back of your mind, if it makes sense. I’d like to share with you a quote by Albert Einstein which is:
“Imagination is everything. It is a sneak preview of life's coming attractions”.
Now when you consider that quote, it really points us to the capacity that we have as human beings, and from what I can see, we literally have the ability to believe and imagine almost anything.
That ability is really powerful, however it can be used in two different kind of ways. Sometimes people will use imagination to create futures or things that don't exist, and then they will create stress or responses to that image in their mind in the present moment.
Now a quote which encapsulates this, by Mark Twain is:
“I'm a very old man, I've suffered a great deal, most of which never actually happened”.
Now if you compare that to Einstein’s quote where “Imagination is everything. It is a sneak preview of life's coming attractions”, this quote points us to a better utilisation of our imagination, which is to create desired futures or realities that don't yet exist, and then from there, that becomes a really important first step so we can, bring that desired future into the present moment.
Now there's another great quote about imagination attributed to Lawrence of Arabia and that is:
“All people dream but not equally, those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their mind awake to find that all was vanity. But the dreamers of the day are dangerous, for they may act their dreams with open eyes, and make things happen”.
So this is another powerful quote which points us to that capacity we have to imagine what you want, deeply explore what would you like to have happen in that context, and through this kind of thinking, resourceful states can begin to develop - states like determination, confidence, playfulness, flexibility, a long term kind of thinking like tenacity and determination, that commitment to get a result over a period of time. Those resources can begin to make themselves available in that context, and it's through this and then taking action from those states, that a person can begin to transform their experience and results in any context that they want.
